2011
Mahta Marashi opened Sunflowers Home Daycare serving the Adams Point Neighborhood.
Our new location
2015
In response to the growing demand for childcare in the community, Sunflowers Home Daycare relocated to Broadway Terrace to double their previous capacity.
Accomplishments
2017
Sunflowers Home Daycare had been given ten consecutive 5-star reviews by our outstanding community of parents and guardians on Yelp.
Our sister school, Orckids Preschool
2019
In the spring of 2019, a new school was added to Sunflowers Daycare Inc. Orkidz Preschool is licensed for fifty-two children and is located in Albany, CA.
About The Founder
Ms. Mahta and her family immigrated to America in 2010. Shortly after arriving, Ms. Mahta began working as a teacher in different childcare centers in the Bay Area. In 2011, Ms. Mahta founded Sunflowers Home Daycare with the hope of later expanding to a childcare center. After years of successful operation in her home daycare, Ms. Mahta created Orckids Preschool. Mahta has a B.A. in accounting and an A.A. in childhood development. For fun, Ms. Mahta loves to travel, spend time with her family, discover new cuisine, and hike.
